Heartland Retreat Center, Kansas City, MO

Living the Call                   Friday evening
There are many paths in ministry.  Which one is right for you?  Join our panel of ministers as they discuss life as a congregational pastor, chaplain, youth pastor, associate pastor, para-church ministries, pastoral counselor and other roles.   Learn about the joys and challenges of ministry and what they wish they had known when they began.

Living with Myself            Saturday morning
Dr. Robert Eichenberger will lead a consideration of what it means to be called to ministry.  He will help participants discover the gifts they bring to ministry and the areas where God is calling them to grow.  Bob is a licensed professional counselor and pastor of  a small membership DOC congregation.

Living and Learning            Saturday afternoon
Rev. David Avery brings years of pastoral experience and pursuit of knowledge to his discussion of the pastor as a life-long learner.  He will talk about ways to obtain education for ministry through seminary or programs such as Missouri School of Religion; the value of continuing education and the importance of mentors and peer groups.

Living within Boundaries      Saturday evening
Rev. Donna Rose-Heim will share perspectives on the ethical considerations of serving as a minister.  Besides years of experience as a pastor and interim pastor, Donna served as Northwest Area Minister in the Christian Church of Mid-America for several years.   She was trained by the Faith-Trust Institute to lead boundary training for pastors.

Living the Kingdom                Sunday morning
Dr. Bill Tenny-Brittain will lead a consideration of what we are to be about as ministers:  living and building the Kingdom of God.  Bill is a partner in 21st Century Strategies, managing editor of Net Results, and an author and consultant in evangelism.
