Discussion of the establishment of two grassroots programs that help ex-offenders, among others, and their lessons learned. - The good, the bad and the ugly.
While all communities are different, we often share the frustration of trying to get offenders connected to resources to help them succeed. Presenters in this breakout will discuss their experience and strategies for connecting offenders to needed resources such as basic needs, education, transportation, housing, and medical treatment. The audience will be encouraged to share their experience as well so everyone in attendance can leave better informed.
In the most difficult areas of post incarceration, housing and job placement, we are blessed to have two models that have been successful with Christian reentry services.
Pastor Jed Angell of Friendship Christian Church of Centralia and the leaders of Friendship’s Celebrate Recovery ministry will discuss creating a congregational atmosphere of acceptance. Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program to help people overcome their hurts, habits and hang-ups.
This is an annual event planned by persons representing:
