- Reflection on the definition, purposes, and elements of Christian worship
- Planning and leading worship, with particular attention to the music
- Developing awareness of theological and practical rationale within their biblical, denominational, and congregational worship tradition, as well as introducing a variety of liturgies and worship experiences that might be used within their current congregation.
Instructor: Ed Varnum, has served as pastor of congregations in Oklahoma, Texas, California and Missouri during his thirty-seven years in ministry. He is currently the minister of First Christian Church, Fulton. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Arizona State University, a Masters of Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Lexington Theological Seminary. Ed and Jan Varnum make their home in Columbia, Missouri. They have four children and three grandchildren.
